If you've read our pages about ourselves, you'll realise we have animals of our own and we fully understand how important pets are to their owners. So if you'd like to bring your pet, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Please understand that we must also consider the comfort and enjoyment of the other guests, and that no animals are allowed in the garden or pool areas.

Our availability page displays bookings for our main season, from May to October. If you'd like to visit at at other dates, please to not hesitate to contact us.

We are willing to consider long-term lettings outside of the main season for any of the gîtes. Contact us to discuss your requirements and as ever, we'll do our best to help.

Ah yes, the infamous fosse septique! We do our best to inflict as few regulations as we can on our guests, but a misbehaving septic tank will very much take the edge off your enjoyment of your holiday. So we do insist that only digestible items are flushed down the toilets - anything else* needs to be securely bagged and tied, whereafter we'll dispose of it for you.

Note that British loo paper is not suitable for use here - we'll supply you with a few rolls of French paper at the start of your holiday so please don't bring any rolls from the UK.

You may see one of us busily flushing a concoction down a toilet sometime: this is a culture of friendly bacteria and yeasts that digest the contents of the tank - we sometimes need to use extra amounts of culture if for instance, someone is taking antibiotics.

*Yes, you're quite right, this does mean any baby and sanitary items, and anything plastic!

Cars may be safely parked in the village car park adjoining the side of Maison de la Famille. But we do have a secure covered area that can accommodate a small number of motorcycles. It would be best if you contacted us beforehand to make sure it's available for you.

It certainly is. But having said that, the French do seem to be in the habit of only drinking bottled water and drinks. St.-Priest-les-Fougères is in fact fed by it's own spring, so the water here is purer than you might expect. We're told it contains a lot of iron, so is presumably good for pregnant women!

Our base pricing is in Euros, as we do try to attract custom from all over Europe. But we do quote in Pounds Sterling as well. If you want to pay using another currency, please contact us to see if we can oblige. We'll always do our best to be helpful.
